The invention relates to a composition for obtaining a porous material for producing a catalytic combustion burner, comprising at least one refractory material, at least one binder and at least one pore-forming agent. According to the invention, the composition further comprises at least one thermally conducting compound with a thermal conductivity of greater than 60 watts per metre-kelvin. The invention further relates to a porous material for production of a catalytic combustion burner or an element of a catalytic combustion burner and a catalytic combustion burner or element of a catalytic combustion burner made from porous material, obtained from a claimed composition.
