A current characteristic value of the wind turbine (14, 15) is determined as the difference from the complex-frequency-dependent current measurement (26) and the grid preloading value. The invention furthermore relates to an arrangement for implementing the method. The invention makes it possible to separate the harmonics generated by the wind turbine (14, 15) from the harmonics originating from the connection grid (16).
