The present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner (1) designed to suck material from a portable tool (2) and comprising: a body (20) defining an internal space (23) for receiving the sucked material and provided with a connector (28) for establishing an air flow connection between the portable tool (2) and the inner space (23), a base (30) provided with means (33) for moving on the ground, and a device suction nozzle (50) adapted to suck the material from the portable tool (2) to the internal space (23) defined in the body (20). The vacuum cleaner (1) is characterized in that it comprises at least one battery (60) arranged in the base (30) and provided for supplying the suction device (50) with energy. The invention also relates to an autonomous system consisting of such a vacuum cleaner (1) and a portable tool (2).
