METHOD FOR IMPROVED REMOVAL OF MERCURY FROM FLUE GASES IN WET FLUE GAS DESULFURISATION PLANTS

A method is presented to improve the separation of mercury in existing and new flue gas desulphurisation plants. The method involves the use of known and novel additives, describes additional apparatus and the optimized setting of operating parameters for better and safer removal of mercury from flue gases. The sub-aspects described can be used individually or in combination, depending on the requirements and specific circumstances.
