PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design method of a longitudinal core in a metal mold casting die and a metal mold casting die, in order to eliminate casting defects of a cast at a region positioned above a longitudinal core in metal mold casting.;SOLUTION: The design method of a longitudinal core in a metal mold casting die includes the steps of: determining a first contraction compensation angle in a state without a core, on the basis of a crystallization solidification temperature range of an alloy material constituting a cast; determining a second contraction compensation angle corresponding to the crystallization solidification temperature range in a state with a core; calculating a third contraction compensation angle according to a predetermined relational expression; and setting a contraction compensation angle of the cast at a region positioned above the longitudinal core in the die to the third contraction compensation angle or more and less than the first contraction compensation angle.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
