PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat transport medium which can stably transport heat at high thermal conversion efficiency even when circulated through a pipeline for a long period of time.SOLUTION: As the heat transport medium transported by fluid which is liquid in a range of use temperature, a medium is used which is obtained by infiltrating a latent heat storage material that is incompatible with the fluid and has a melting point in a range of use temperature, into a porous body that shows repellency against the fluid, shows affinity for the heat latent material, and has a sponge hardness of 50 or less. The porous material may have continuous pores. The porosity of the porous material may be 50% or higher. The apparent density of the porous material is about 0.05-0.5 g/cm. The proportion of the latent heat storage material is about 100-5000 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the porous material. The porous material may contain a water-repellent lipophilic resin. The porous material may have a polyorganosiloxane skeleton.SELECTED DRAWING: None
