PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealant for linear motion mechanism, capable of operating at low torque in linear motion with which a fine granular material having a diameter of several μm can be sealed.;SOLUTION: A side seal unit 4 for linear motion mechanism seals the gap between a shaft and the front end part and rear end part of a slider, the slider linearly and reciprocatively moving on the shaft and included in a linear motion mechanism. At the front end part and rear end part of the slider, the fiber surface of a seal material comprising a fiber material is arranged so as to face the shaft side and contact along the cross sectional shape of the shaft.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
