PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately calculate an amount of movement of a conveyance belt.SOLUTION: A recording device 1 comprises: a conveyance belt 10 conveying a medium P; a recording section 7 performing recording on the medium P supported by the conveyance belt 10; a plurality of imaging sections 18 being provided at an upstream side and a downstream side in a conveyance direction A of the medium P and imaging a mobile object 10 or the medium P being at least one of the conveyance belt 10 and the medium P; and a calculation section 31 calculating an amount of movement, in predetermined time, of the conveyance belt 10 based on a part of a position S of the mobile object 10 or the medium P in an image imaged by an upstream imaging section 18a of the upstream side out of the plurality of imaging sections 18, and the part of the position S in an image imaged by a downstream side imaging section 18b of the downstream side out of the imaging sections 18 after the predetermined time has elapsed since the image was imaged by the upstream imaging section 18a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
