PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate extension/shrinkage operations of a boom without worry.SOLUTION: A slide boom device comprises: a support boom; a movement boom which is slidably supported to the support boom; a slide mechanism for sliding the movement boom; and a drive unit 10 for driving the slide mechanism. The drive unit 10 comprises: a motor 11 serving as a drive source; an alternate type operation switch 12 for connecting and disconnecting a drive circuit of the motor 11; a current value detection circuit 23 for detecting a current value which drives the motor 11; and a control part 20 for comparing the detected current value with a set threshold, for controlling so as to disconnect the drive circuit when an overload state on the motor 11 is continued.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
