PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll sheet near end detection system which can detect a near end of a roll sheet and has a lage degree-of-freedom of a design.;SOLUTION: A roll sheet near end detection system comprises a printer 10 for printing a roll sheet based on print data, and a POS terminal device 100 which transmits the print data to the printer 10. An image of a page space of a roll sheet accommodated in the printer 10 is picked up by a camera 17 while the page space being irradiated with illumination light by an LED lamp 16, and the picked-up image is analyzed, whereby a near end mark given onto the page space of the roll sheet is identified and detected.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
