PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method of a cool atomic clock that maintains a very uniform microwave magnetic field.SOLUTION: An operation method includes steps of: changing 402 a power or a phase of at least one other microwave feed line in a subset while holding the power and the phase of at least one microwave feed line in the subset at a constant; measuring 404 an intensity of an atomic transition excited by a microwave magnetic field; extracting 412 a relative power and a relative phase between the subsets of the microwave feed line by processing the intensity of the atomic transition excited by the microwave magnetic field measured by at least one auxiliary measurement sequence; and determining 414 whether or not adjustment is required for one or more in the microwave feed line to improve uniformity of the phase of the microwave magnetic field and fluctuation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
