PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for testing strength of a metal roofing material, capable of evaluating the strength of the metal roofing material more correctly and conveniently.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a method for testing strength of a metal roofing material, which is for testing the strength of the metal roofing material equipped with: a surface substrate using a metal plate as a raw material; a rear substrate arranged on the rear side of the surface substrate; and a core material filled between the surface substrate and the rear substrate. This method includes the steps of: binding a metal roofing material 1 to a base 50; and giving a load 52L, which attempts to float an end part 1E of the metal roofing material 1 bound to the base 50, to the end part 1E to measure the floating amount of the end part 1E corresponding to the load 52L.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
