SHEET BODY WITH VARIABLE FRICTION COEFFICIENT AND FRICTION COEFFICIENT VARYING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet body with a variable friction coefficient which is increased in the variation range of the friction coefficient by varying a contact area with an object coming into contact therewith so that the contact area is reduced; and to provide an apparatus using the same.;SOLUTION: In a sheet body with a variable friction coefficient, cyclic undulation is formed in an in-plane compression direction, so that a surface friction coefficient can be varied. Along and directly under one principal plane of an elastic sheet body, there is embedded a woven fabric formed by weaving warp yarns and weft yarns orthogonally to each other. When the elastic sheet body is subjected to in-plane compression so that either one of the warp yarns and the weft yarns are compressed, the other ones are stretched, and at the intersection parts of the warp yarns and the weft yarns, projection parts are cyclically formed so as to be superposed on the undulation. In addition, a friction coefficient varying apparatus includes: the sheet body with a variable friction coefficient; and a compression device for subjecting the sheet body to in-plane compression so that either one of the warp yarns and the weft yarns are compressed, thereby forming the undulation.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4;COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT
