PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of correctly estimating a waiting time on a register.;SOLUTION: A system is configured so that: when a terminal determines that the terminal is in the vicinity of a register on the basis of the position of the terminal, the terminal sends article feature information indicating a feature of an article acquired based on an image of the article; a waiting time calculation device identifies an article classification name from the article feature information received from the terminal, registers a classification name of the article in a processed article list in which the classification name of the article is registered for every article for which account settlement processing is going to be performed, then updates an account settlement processing time list on the basis of the account settlement processing time required for performing account settlement processing, for every classification name of article received from the register, deletes the article classification name for which account settlement processing has been performed on the register from the processed article list, refers to an account settlement processing time table for calculating a total processing time obtained by totalizing the account settlement processing time for every article classification name registered in the processed article list, as a waiting time and then notifies of the total processing time.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
