PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molecular recognition element-immobilized electrode with an oriented molecular recognition element, a method of manufacturing the same, a sensor having such an electrode, and a method of manufacturing such a sensor.;SOLUTION: A molecular recognition element 1 is couple to a peptide to obtain a metal-binding protein, where the coupling may be established by means of synthetic binding or genetic engineering procedure. The metal-binding protein 4 may, for example, be recombinantly produced using a recombinant microorganism integrated with a base sequence that codes for the metal-binding protein 4.
