PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for accurately detecting a physiological indicator without using a constant threshold.SOLUTION: A physiological indicator detection device comprises: first calculation means for calculating a template waveform in a biological signal based on an existing characteristic of a physiological indicator which is to be detected from the biological signal; second calculation means for calculating a value indicating similarity between the waveform of the biological signal and the calculated template waveform in multiple prescribed periods, and a statistical value indicating variation of magnitude of the biological signal in the multiple prescribed periods; detection means for detecting a candidate for the physiological indicator which is to be detected from the biological signal in the multiple prescribed periods based on the magnitude of the value indicating the calculated similarity; and determination means for determining the candidate as the physiological indicator which is to be detected when the calculated statistical value for the detected candidate detected by the detection means satisfies a prescribed condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
