PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to maintenance of balance of local electric energy without increasing a power generation amount when power supply is tight, by a power demand/response management device receiving a power saving request from a power transmission/distribution company and selecting a power saving request destination suitable for the request.SOLUTION: A power transmission/distribution company transmits a power saving request to a power demand/response management device. The power demand/response management device performs power saving request destination selecting processing and transmits a power saving request to a selected power saving request destination (or selected power saving request destinations). A user, when receiving the power saving request from the power demand/response management device, transmits a control instruction to the user's management equipment, an apparatus; the apparatus, when receiving the control instruction, performs power saving according to the instruction. The user, after the power saving is performed, collects a power meter reading value and transmits the meter reading value to the power demand/response management device.
