PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce concentration of hydrogen sulfide by introducing muddy water containing natural hematite generated by action of iron bacteria existing in agriculture irrigation canals into a section of seawater lower than a fresh-salt water interface to make a contact opportunity of the hematite and the hydrogen sulfide artificially.SOLUTION: In a method to render hydrogen sulfide existing in lake bed or bay bed by using hematite generated by iron bacteria existing in an agriculture irrigation canal 62, muddy water Wcontaining the hematite of the agriculture irrigation canal 62 is stored in a sludge storage vessel A installed at a position near to a lake or a bay while keeping non-deposition state of the hematite, and the muddy water Wcontaining the hematite is discharged into the lake bed or the bay bed by action of a mud sending pump P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
