PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the degree of stability of an electric power system in consideration of an operation continuing requirement under fault (FRT requirement: Fault Ride Through) for a dispersion type power source linked to the power system.;SOLUTION: A determination device determines whether or not a dispersion type power source in an electric power system is dropped when a fault occurs in the electric power system. The determination device comprises: a calculator for calculating an increasing rate of an energy function V representing fluctuation energy of a power generator linked to the electric power system under a first condition that the dispersion type power source continues to operate and a second condition that the dispersion type power source is dropped, respectively; and a determination unit for determining that the dispersion type power source is dropped when the increasing rate of the energy function V calculated under the second condition is larger than the increasing rate of the energy function V calculated under the first condition.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
