PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide complex oxide having enhanced oxygen storage performance compared to the conventional ones.;SOLUTION: There is provided complex oxide containing cerium oxide and zirconium oxide and having noble metal catalyst carried, the complex oxide has a value IB/IA, which is a ratio of area IA of a peak observed in a range of 1090 cm-1 or more and 1110 cm-1 or less and area IB of a peak observed in a range of 1050 cm-1 or more and less than 1090 cm-1 when an infrared absorption spectrum is observed by absorbing methanol to the complex oxide burned at 980°C for 25 hours, of 1.9 or more.;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
