PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an opening/closing gate from being closed by operation of a third person.;SOLUTION: A control method for a multistory parking apparatus includes: previously setting a password code in association with each of pallet identification codes granted to a plurality of movable pallets included in the multistory parking apparatus; in receiving call operation for a movable pallet, receiving input of a pallet identification code granted to a movable pallet desired by a user (S20); and at least at a stage before executing a closing operation of an opening/closing gate (S160), waiting for input of a password code set in association with the input pallet identification code without executing the closing operation and operation following the closing operation (S130, S140). This makes it possible to prevent a third person incapable of obtaining the password code from performing the closing operation on the opening/closing gate while the user gets on or off a vehicle, loads or unloads luggage, performs work for charging a battery of the vehicle, etc. inside the multistory parking apparatus.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
