PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for moving scaffolding for a heavy machine, the method enabling moving smoothly with labor saving.;SOLUTION: A method is provided for moving scaffolding 1 for use in a heavy machine toward a lower part of a crane 2. One fixed point of wire 6 to move the scaffolding 1 is provided at the position of the crane 2 side or a crane running surface side, and the position capable of guiding the scaffolding 1 to a desired moving direction. Also, the wire 6 is disposed so as to substantially linearly arrive at a position of wire engaging means 14 provided to the scaffolding 1 from the fixed point, and to become substantially parallel to the moving direction of the scaffolding 1. Then, the wire 6 is pulled up via the wire engaging means 14 of the scaffolding 1, and the scaffolding 1 is made to slide in the direction approaching to the crane 2. The wire engaging means 14 included in the scaffolding 1 is configured so that the wire 6 to move the scaffolding can go therethrough.
