PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a gelatinous oil-in-water emulsified composition having good transparency and excellent temporal stability; a skin external preparation; and a method for producing the gelatinous oil-in-water emulsified composition.SOLUTION: There is provided: a gelatinous oil-in-water emulsified composition comprising components A to E in which the content ratio of the total amount of the component B, the component C and the component C to the component A is 0.1 to 0.5 on a mass basis; and an application thereof. A: At least one liquid oil selected from a hydrocarbon oil, an aliphatic ester and a silicone oil in which the content to the total amount of the oil-in-water emulsified composition of 15 mass% or more, B: a nonionic surfactant having an HLB of 7 or less selected from a fatty acid (poly)glyceryl and POE hydrogenated castor oil, C: a sucrose fatty acid ester; D: an ionic surfactant having glutamic acid as a hydrophilic group and E: water.SELECTED DRAWING: None
