CINERARY BOX AND BUDDHIST ALTAR CAPABLE OF HOUSING CINERARY BOX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cinerary box for storing powdered cremains of a deceased family member and a Buddhist altar capable of housing the cinerary box to be placed at a reduced space in a room so as to allow his/her family to perform intimate memorial services (memorial services at home) in a handy manner even if the family lives in an urban area having a poor housing situation.SOLUTION: A cinerary box 10 is composed of a storage box body 12 including a storage room 12a which has length, width and depth great enough to store a cinerary bag H accommodating the powdered cremains B and whose upper part is opened, and a lid body 11 to close the opening of the storage box body. The Buddhist altar housing the cinerary box has a cinerary part at a lower position of a small shrine part where Buddhism worship articles such as a principal image and a mortuary tablet are enshrined. The cinerary part is provided with a shelf on which the cinerary box 10 can be housed vertically or horizontally.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
