PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide devices, systems and methods for lung treatment that comprise an implant and a delivery catheter that can be advanced through a tortuous body portion, e.g., for improving the quality of life and restoring lung function for patients suffering from emphysema.SOLUTION: A lung volume reduction system includes an implantable device, which is delivered to a lung airway of a patient in a delivery configuration and changed to a deployed configuration to allow the lung airway to be bent. A method of bending the lung airway of the patient comprises inserting the device into the airway in the delivery configuration, and bending the device into the deployed configuration thereby bending the airway.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 47
