PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrocardiography apparatus 1 capable of improving analysis accuracy of electrocardiogram waveform data without having a high-performance computer or the like.SOLUTION: An electrocardiography apparatus 1 includes: a first reception section 22 configured to receive, in real time, electrocardiogram waveform data representing a plurality of electrocardiogram waveforms that are continuously generated on a time axis from an electrode 40 placed on a patient P; a transmission section 24 configured to transmit a part of the received electrocardiogram waveform data to an external device 10; a second reception section 23 configured to receive a reference electrocardiogram waveform from the external device 10; a storage section 28 configured to store the electrocardiogram waveform data and the reference electrocardiogram waveform; a comparison section 26 configured to compare each of the plurality of electrocardiogram waveforms represented by the electrocardiogram waveform data, with the reference electrocardiogram waveform; and an update section 27 configured to update the reference electrocardiogram waveform stored in the storage section 28 on the basis of a new reference electrocardiogram waveform received by the second reception section 23, with the electrode 40 placed on the patient P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
