PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathroom monitoring device and a bathroom monitoring method that can be put into practice at low cost.;SOLUTION: A bathroom monitoring device comprises: a range unit that obtains first distance information indicating distance to each place in a bathroom by emitting a range wave and receiving a reflection wave in the bathroom where there is a person; a storage unit that stores bathroom positional information indicating the position of a first prescribed place in the bathroom; and a processing unit that obtains person positional information indicating the position of a prescribed region of the person in the bathroom on the basis of the first distance information, compares the bathroom positional information with the person positional information, and performs control to output a warning from an alarm unit on the basis of the comparison result.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
