PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of reducing the possibility of a failure of information distribution by a device having a small battery residual amount.SOLUTION: An information distribution system includes: an information distribution device comprising a first transmission processing unit that determines a sub information distribution device to which data is distributed from a plurality of information reception devices depending on the respective information reception devices' battery residual amount and transmits instruction information to the sub information distribution device, and a second transmission processing unit that transmits identification information on the sub information distribution device to other information reception devices other than the information reception device determined to be the sub information distribution device; and an information reception device comprising a detection unit that detects a battery residual amount of the information reception device, a distribution request processing unit that transmits a data distribution request together with the detected battery residual amount to the information distribution device, a proxy distribution processing unit that distributes data distributed from the information distribution device to the other information reception devices on behalf of the information distribution device, on the basis of instruction information from the information distribution device; and a reception processing unit that, on the basis of the identification information, receives data distributed by the sub information distribution device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4E
