PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chewing gum exhibiting a just right chew texture from the initial stage of chew and throughout the majority of the chew time, while at the same time providing a large early release of flavor followed by a long lasting flavor profile.SOLUTION: Disclosed herein is a chewing gum comprising a gum base; optionally a bulk sweetener; and a flavor pre-blend or a pre-blend ingredient. The flavor pre-blend or pre-blend ingredient is prepared as a standalone ingredient prior to combining with the gum base and optional bulk sweetener to form a chewing gum composition.The flavor pre-blend contains a combination of hydrophilic and lipophilic ingredients combined to form a homogeneous mixture.SELECTED DRAWING: None
