PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nursing work support system and a nursing work support method which support improvement of the efficiency of a nursing behavior to a patient in a hospital and a nursing facility.SOLUTION: The nursing work support system for supporting nursing works for a patient comprises a terminal device, a master set, and a slave set. The terminal device comprises: a storage part which is carried by a patient and has a characteristic ID stored therein; a positional detection part which detects a present position; and a reception part which receives a call request from the patient. When the reception part received the call request, the terminal device transmits a call signal with an ID stored in the storage part and a present position detected by the positional detection part. The master set receives the call signal, the ID and the present position transmitted from the terminal device and when receiving them, gives notification that a call is performed, with the ID and the present position.
