PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microporous film having an excellent shutdown function without laminating a porous film formed of two or more kinds of resins having different melting points.SOLUTION: There are provided a microporous film which contains an olefin-based resin microporous base material film having a micropore portion and a coating layer formed on the surface of the olefin-based resin microporous base material film and the wall surface of the micropore portion, where the coating layer contains modified polypropylene having a melting point lower than a melting point of the olefin-based resin; and a microporous film, where the olefin-based resin is a polypropylene resin and a melting point of the modified polypropylene is 70-130°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None
