PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for cleaning air using a photocatalyst, with which the effect of air cleaning due to a photocatalyst can be improved by efficiently radiating ultraviolet light, and which can be made thin and compact by restricting the overall thickness of the air cleaner.SOLUTION: A photocatalytic filter 2 is configured by disposing a plurality of photocatalyst-supporting plate-shaped portions 20 facing one another across gaps, where the gaps 21 serve as air flow passages 41. An ultraviolet light-radiating portion 3 is disposed in a position facing an end surface 22a and/or an end surface 22b among end surfaces of the plate-shaped portions 20, at a prescribed distance from the corresponding end surface, wherein the end surface 22a is on the side from which air enters the gap 21, and the end surface 22b is on the side from which air exits. Between the ultraviolet light-radiating portion 3 and the plate-shaped portion end surface 22a/22b is formed an air supply path 40 which takes in air from a side part substantially parallel to the end surface and supplies the air to the flow passages 41, or an air discharge path 42 which discharges air output from the flow passages 41 to a side part substantially parallel to the end surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
