METHOD FOR ADJUSTING INPUT METHOD EDITOR (IME) ACTIVITY BETWEEN VIRTUAL APPLICATION CLIENT AND SERVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to input characters in a human language into a virtual application.SOLUTION: A method includes a step of establishing a communication channel between a client IME (Input Method Editor) operating on a client machine and a server IME operating on a server, and enabling the client IME to use the server IME as a proxy and interact with a virtual application operating on the server. The server IME relays information from the client IME to the virtual application. The server IME also relays information from the virtual application to the client IME. The server IME enables the client IME to interact with the virtual application such that it interacts with a local application. It promotes the same user experience regarding both virtual application and local application.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
