PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method and a device of a waste ion exchange resin containing a radioactive nuclide.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a processing method of a waste ion exchange resin containing a radioactive nuclide through a stepwise heat treatment process and a device performing the same. The invention can obtain the maximum volume reducing effect by immobilizing and processing the radioactive nuclide volatilized at the same time after being condensed, while avoiding a problem of immersion contamination in an exhaust gas process appearing by vaporization of a volatile radioactive nuclide, a problem of being exhausted into the atmosphere, a problem of the generation of the exhaust gas containing a high density SOand SOgenerated at the ion exchange group separation time, and a problem that COis generated, which are problems appearing in the conventional incineration and verification process, by processing the waste ion exchange resin containing the radioactive nuclide with a method for separating and recovering the radioactive nuclide by vaporization without gasification of carbon being a main component through the stepwise heat treatment method.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
