PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle beam acceleration system and a particle beam acceleration control method, capable of smoothly performing synchronization of a linear particle accelerator (linac) and a synchrotron while maintaining an operation period of an ion source in the linac at a constant, and a particle beam treatment apparatus utilizing an accelerated particle beam for medically treating an affected part.SOLUTION: A particle beam acceleration system 10 includes: a linac 11 which outputs a particle beam, the particle beam being generated by driving an ion source 14 at a constant period and linearly accelerating the ion thus generated; a main accelerator 12 which makes the linearly accelerated particle beam incident on a synchrotron 19, circularly accelerates the particle beam and emits the particle beam whose energy has reached a desired level; and an acceleration control device 13 which, when making the emitted particle beam decelerate in the synchrotron and then newly incident therein, calculates a standby period of maintaining a set standby energy so as to match a next incident timing of the particle beam with a drive period of the ion source 14, on the basis of the drive period of the ion source 14, and sets the calculated standby time at deceleration of the particle beam.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
