PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically retrieve a similar API to an unusable API by finding the rate of similarity between APIs and determine whether or not it can be used when an application making the most of APIs is unable to use an API.SOLUTION: An API similarity rate calculation device 21d comprises: an information acquisition unit d2 which, when request information is transmitted from an application 25a to a desired function original (enabler 27a) via an API and the function original 27a is malfunctioning not returning response information that conforms to the content of the request information, acquires from a database 21f the API operation outline information, request information, and response information that pertain to the function original that became to malfunction; and calculation units (d3-d6) for selecting an API (e.g., an API 28b) linked to an other function (e.g., a function A27b) having information closest to each of the acquired three items of information as a similar API 28b having the highest similarity rate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
