PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fertilizer performance estimation method for estimating the fertilizer performance efficiency based on the fertilizer material of algae which is used in the sea area and a management method of the sea area fertilizer material using this fertilizer performance efficiency estimation method.;SOLUTION: A fertilizer performance efficiency estimation method of a sea area fertilizer material includes: a steel-making slag; and a hemic acid-containing material. This method prepares a sample alkaline eluate eluted from the fertilizer material by bringing the fertilizer material into contact with sea water at a prescribed ratio under a contact condition, and analyzes the obtained sample alkaline eluate by an FFF-ICP-MS. In this FFF-ICP-MS analysis, the presence or absence of the fertilizer performance is determined by using a signal/noise ratio (S/N ratio) between a signal having an Fe signal intensity appearing in the holding time equivalent to a particle size 2 to 10 nm and noise.
