PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a five-way change valve enabling a cooling or heating operation and a defrosting operation to be carried out under a relative simple configuration and at the same time to prevent occurrence of leakage of high pressure refrigerant at the time of defrosting operation and to perform an operation transfer action rapidly without any restriction.SOLUTION: There is provided a single linear-motion type solenoid valve 50 acting as a pilot valve in which each of two plungers 61, 62 arranged in series is set to different suction positions and non-suction positions in response to an applied voltage for a solenoid coil 51 and along with this operation, each of two valves 71, 72 is set to different advancing positions and retracting positions and a combination of positions of the two valves 71, 72 enables their states to be changed over among a total number of three positions, the linear-motion type solenoid valve 50 is caused to select any one of the three positions to control feeding/discharging of high pressure refrigerant into/from three operating chambers 31, 32, 33, thereby cooling operation, heating operation and defrosting operation at an outdoor heat exchanger 120 of a cooling and heating system 100 are carried out.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
