PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grommet fitting instrument capable of easily mounting a grommet to an opening of a housing, and a grommet fitting method using the same.SOLUTION: A grommet fitting instrument is configured to mount a grommet 1 to an opening 31 of a tabular member 30 provided in a housing 3 and comprises an instrument body 20 which is formed substantially cylindrical so as to be inserted through the opening 31. The instrument body 20 includes a grommet holding part 22 in one distal end portion. The grommet holding part 22 is formed by branching an end portion of the instrument body 20 into a plurality of lines of holding pieces 22a in a circumferential direction. The holding piece 22a is elastically deformable in a radial direction of the instrument body 20 and formed to be spread to an outer circumferential side towards a distal end and includes a lock part 22b which is locked to a circumferential surface of the grommet 1, in the distal end portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
