PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for providing an expandable styrene resin particle with low static electrification amount, a preliminary expanded particle and an expanded molded body by applying an antistatic agent to an expanded styrene resin particle.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of an expandable styrene resin particle, wherein an antistatic agent applied to the expandable styrene resin particle contains 90% or more of N-hydroxyethyl-N-2-hydroxyalkyl amine (hydrogen number of an alkyl group is C=14) having one amino group and two hydroxyl group in a molecule, including applying 0.005 to 3.0 pts.wt. of the antistatic agent to 100 pts.wt. of the expandable styrene resin particle under a condition with moisture content of the expandable styrene resin particle of 0.01 to 5.0 wt.%. There is provided a manufacturing method for providing an expandable styrene resin particle with low static electrification amount by applying a solution containing the antistatic agent of 3 to 10 wt.% to the resin particle after dehydration of the expandable styrene resin particle.SELECTED DRAWING: None
