PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cuisine recommendation system, a portable terminal and a cuisine recommendation program which can propose cuisines according to food materials in turn.SOLUTION: A cuisine recommendation system comprises: a cuisine table 22 for storing cuisine data containing food material names which are related to food materials required for providing cuisines; a camera 31 for photographing a receipt containing character strings related to the food material names; a food material acquisition part 11 for acquiring the food material names from text data which is obtained by performing character recognition processing with respect to a receipt image obtained by the camera 31; a cuisine extraction part 12 for extracting plural pieces of cuisine data by referring to a cuisine table 22, based on the food material names acquired by the food material acquisition part 11; a schedule part 14 for arranging the plural pieces of cuisine data extracted by the cuisine extraction part 12 in a schedule; and a recommended cuisine presentation part 17 for displaying a name of recommended cuisine, which is recommended to a user based on plural pieces of cuisine data arranged in the schedule by the schedule part 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
