The objective of the invention lies in providing a device and method for inspecting the size of a cylindrical object, and the device and method can enable the size of the internal periphery of the cylindrical object, which is small in wall thickness and is liable to deform, to be inspected in a short time and at a high precision. Moreover, the interior of the measurement nozzle is provided with an air flowing path which enables air-blowing outlets communicated with the air flowing path to be disposed on the external peripheral surface. The device is also provided with an adjuster which is used for adjusting the pressure of compressed air supplied by an air compression source. The device is also provided with an air flow detection unit which is used for detecting the quantity of flow of air which is blown from the air-blowing outlets to the internal peripheral surface of the cylindrical object, wherein the pressure of the air is adjusted by the adjuster. The number of the air-blowing outlets is greater than six, and the air-blowing outlets are arranged at intervals at the same periphery of the external periphery of the measurement nozzle.
