PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To divide a search target region into certain ranges to detect a representative frame image, and then additionally and repeatedly detect a region estimated to have an evidence image in a stepwise manner.SOLUTION: An apparatus for high-speed searching comprises: a user interface unit for receiving an input of search region information on a search target video evidence and extraction information on a representative image from a user to provide the information to a search/reconstruction engine unit and to display the extracted representative image; and the search/reconstruction engine unit for extracting representative frame information by analyzing frame information on the search region input from the search target video evidence, based on the search region information and the extraction information on the representative image input through the user interface unit, and reconstructing the extracted representative frame information into an image to output the image to the user interface unit. When a massive video frame is searched, representative images are extracted and confirmed in a desired region at a required ratio such that necessary scenes can quickly be confirmed in at least a portion of an image frame, thereby reducing the analysis time for a video.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
