PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact decomposition catalyst for a hydrocarbon oil excellent in stability of zeolite, capable of producing a gasoline fraction having high octane value at high yield while suppressing increase of yield of a heavy fraction and producing LPG having high percentage content of propylene and butene.;SOLUTION: There is provided a contact decomposition catalyst for a hydrocarbon oil containing zeolite having a sodalite cage structure with lattice content in a predetermined range, a silicon atom derived from silica sol, a phosphorus atom and an aluminum atom derived from primary aluminum phosphate, a rare earth metal, a metal atom capable of having bivalent valence during forming a hydration ion and a clay mineral at predetermined amount respectively and having a ratio of percentage content of the phosphorus atom and the aluminum atom derived from primary aluminum phosphate in terms of Al2O3 3 P2O5 to percentage content and a ratio of percentage content of the rare earth metal in terms of oxide in predetermined range respectively.;SELECTED DRAWING: None;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
