PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release film for a ceramic green sheet production process which can produce a ceramic green sheet having suppressed occurrence of deformation and blocking due to winding and having suppressed occurrence of a fault.SOLUTION: A release film 1A, 1B for a ceramic green sheet production process comprises a long substrate 11 and a release agent layer 12A, 12B provided on one surface side of the substrate 11. The release film 1A, 1B includes a ceramic green sheet molding part 15 and projecting parts 14. The height of the projecting parts 14 is 0.1 to 3 μm. The arithmetic average roughness Ra and the maximum projection height Rp in the ceramic green sheet molding part 15 are respectively less than 8 nm and less than 50 nm. The arithmetic average roughness Ra and the maximum projection height Rp of a back surface of the release film 1A, 1B are respectively less than 10 nm and less than 100 nm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
