PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet roll whose end faces are applied with chemical solution.SOLUTION: An upper side conveyor belt 31 transfers a toilet roll 1 to a downstream while touching an upper end face 14 and a low side conveyor belt 41 transfers the toilet roll 1 to the downstream while touching a low side end face 14. In a process in which chemical solution is supplied to each of the conveyor belts 31, 41 and the end faces 14 of the toilet roll 1 are received between each of the conveyor belts 31, 41 so that they can touch them and the toilet roll 1 is transferred to the downstream by each of the conveyor belts 31, 41, and the chemical solution is transferred to the upper side end face 14 and the low side end face 14 of the toilet roll 1.
