PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a carbon nanotube assembly having excellent electric conductivity; a method for synthesizing the carbon nanotube assembly having excellent electric conductivity; a resin composition containing the carbon nanotube assembly, which has excellent electric conductivity; an electroconductive elastomer; and a dispersion.SOLUTION: The carbon nanotube assembly is characterized in that the ratio of double-walled carbon nanotubes is 10% or more and less than 50%, the ratio of three- or more walled carbon nanotubes is 10% or less, when the temperature is raised at a rate of 5°C/min in an air atmosphere, the largest peak temperature of the DTA curve is 750°C or more, and the average diameter of the carbon nanotubes is 2.0 nm or less.
