PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll for melt extrusion molding/shaping, the transferability of which can be improved satisfactorily and which has an extremely excellent surface state.SOLUTION: The roll 1 for melt extrusion molding/shaping, which roll is used when a thermoplastic resin is subjected to melt extrusion molding, includes: a roll body part 10 in which a heating medium flow passage 11 is arranged; and a film layer 13 which is arranged on the surface of the roll body part 10 and formed from amorphous plating having the thermal conductivity equal to or lower than 10 W/m-K and the micro-Vickers hardness equal to or higher than 400 at room temperature and in an untreated state. A fine rugged shape 14 is formed on the surface of the film layer 13 and the average thickness of the film layer at the bottom 15 of the fine rugged shape 14 is at least 0.5 mm or thicker.
