Method and system for generating a spherical field image. In some embodiments, the imaging system includes a front camera having a first field of view (FOV) in a first direction and an optical axis extending through the first FOV, and light extending through the first FOV. A rear camera having an axis, a plurality of side cameras disposed between the front camera and the rear camera, and disposed between the rear camera and the plurality of side cameras, and further to an optical axis of the rear camera.
