Integrated manufacturing process for asphalt, petroleum coke, and liquid and gas coking unit products

An integrated process for producing asphalt, high quality petroleum raw coke, and liquid and gas coker unit products is provided. Sulfur molecules contained in heavy petroleum fractions, including organic sulfur molecules, in particular embodiments organic nitrogen molecules, are oxidized. Polar sulfur oxide compounds move from the oil phase to the asphalt phase. The deasphalted / desulfurized oil phase is passed through a coker unit to produce liquid and gas coker products as an effluent stream and recover high quality petroleum raw coke. [Selection] Figure 1
